Be advised, due to the holidays I will not be posting any trades until early January at which point I’ll be doing an end-of-year review. A blessed advent, merry Christmas and happy new year to all of you.
Out of ACI at 6.96 for a solid 3.4% gain. Portfolio is sitting pretty at about 10K – I don’t know if I should be thanking Jason Bond or the Bishop of Myra, either way I’d call that a good St Nicholas Day present!

In ACI at 6.73 with 1,400 shares. Saint Nicholas Day is in a couple days here (for those of us who still celebrate it) maybe we’ll get a nice gift on the other end of this trade!
Out of ZAGG at 6.92 for a respectable 3.2%.
Following Jason Bond into ZAGG today at 6.70. JB has high hopes for this taking into account black Friday and a conference call the company is having.
We’ll see if I can work ZAGG’s stock better than I can work their Zagg shields. Seriously – has anyone ever tried to put one of those things on their iPhone? I’ve tried three times. Once myself – failed. Once with a vendor at the BX – she failed. The only time I’ve had success was when I took it to the apple store guy and made a puppy face. Anyway, JB has indicated his stop will be at 6.50 – mine will be at 6.60, I’ve had too many ups and downs over the last 2 months – playing it safe today. Jason Bond never ceases to amaze. Textbook cheddar, out at 7.01 for a 10% swing.
Into MCP here with 1,300 shares at 6.35. I was high on life after that OCZ win earlier this month and the EXMCQ trade a week or so ago knocked me off my horse – let’s see if I can get back on.
Sorry I didn’t manage to post yesterday. I bought into EXMCQ at .47. Today I punched out at .45 for a 4% loss. These sub-dollar stocks are so tempting, should’ve been more careful.
So we meet again… facing off against OCZ today – in at 1.41. This is the monster that took my $600 exactly one month ago. I’m setting a limit at 1.51, watching it closely. If it dips down too much I will take profit, no matter how small – I won’t let this beast beat me again!
Edit: BAM! Jason Bond comes through again. Limit hit at 1.51 for a 7% gain. Not only have I made the $600 back, but the portfolio is now across the $9K threshold! Quick trades today. In and out of RENN from 3.48 to 3.59 for a 3.1% gain or about $250 closer to making up the $600 I lost a few weeks ago.
Took an agreeable 2.2% gain on KWK, out at 4.52. Green is green.
Followed Jason Bond into KWK today. I took a hit on this one a few months ago so I’ll be watching closely – no “hi ho silver” this time! In at 4.42.
Took a painful hit on OCZ today. -7.25% This has been a lesson in discipline – I had so much faith in OCZ because of how well it went last time I played it that I set a low stop, which was triggered today at 3.20. Set your stops tight, people! Don’t get cocky, don’t get overconfident. That was about a $600 loss. Let’s see if we can make it back.
Back into OCZ here at 3.45 with 2,500 shares. Let’s see if it’s as kind to us as it was last time – if you’ll recall, we played this back in mid August and it turned into a textbook 10% rinse and repeat.
Went into GLUU today at 4.83 and ended up getting stopped out almost immediately afterwards at 4.80 for a negligible 0.6% loss. I’d say this stop was too tight but better safe than sorry. This was basically breaking even (-0.6) but will still go down as a loss in our end of year review.
Out XCO 7.50 for about 6%
